William Merriman was born 1814 in Shepshed, Leicestershire.
In 1836 he married Hannah Bramley in Leicestershire. They went on to have five children; Hannah Merriman born 1837, William Merriman born 1839, Mary Ann Merriman born 1841, Jane Merriman born 1843 and Hester Mary Merriman born 1851.
On 6th June 1841 the Census was held. William Merriman was living in Whitwick, Leicestershire, with his wife Hannah Merriman (nee Bramley), children; Hannah Merriman, William Merriman and Mary Ann Merriman, along with two servants; Elizabeth Lady and Benjamin Pickney, both aged 17. William Merriman was working as a Farmer.
In 1854 William Merriman died.

I believe I am related to these people. My 5th° grandfather was Edward Merriman, b. 14-Feb-1713 in Great Casterton-Cum-Pickworth, Rutland, England. My 6th° GF was Richard Merriman born, I believe in the same area. I would love to contact any of my distant relatives that may have some more ancestral history. Thanks.
