William Merriman was born 1839 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. He was the second child of William Merrimand and Hannah Merriman (nee Bramley).
On 6th June 1841 the Census was held. William Merriman was living in Whitwick, Leicestershire with his parents William Merriman and Hannah Merriman (nee Barmley), his siblings Hannah Merriman and Mary Ann Merriman and their two servants, Elizabeth Day and Benjamin Pickney.
On 30th March 1851 the Census was held. William Merriman was living at Finny Hill Lodge, Sheepshed, Leicestershire, with his Grandfather William N. Bramley, his Uncle George Bramley, his Aunt Jane Bramley, his sister Mary Ann Merriman and their servants, William Bird and James Poxson.
In 1860 William Merriman died.
